This project signalled a major redesign of the well established CGSociety site, which was first launched in 2005. Including 7 subsites, the goals of this project were to streamline the content for a more unified and seemless user experience while providing clear points of difference for each distinct area.

Ensuring a uniform layout of main elements and including universal components (such as ‘search’ and ‘login’) helped draw all 7 subsites under the one umbrella successfully.

Ballistic Publishing have been producing the finest quality digital art books for a number of years and their website is the primary sales channel for these products. To better handle the rapidly increasing catalogue of publications, a full site redesign was undertaken.

The most important goals of the project were to allow intuitive and concise navigation to ensure users could find, learn and purchase their desired product; to provide confidence and security in the purchasing process. By categorising items in various logical groups we were able to compartmentalise related products and make the task of finding what a visitor was after much less daunting.

The CGJobs website is a more recent addition to the CGSociety group of sites and acts as a much needed tool for both employers and potential employees in the field of computer graphics, to get in contact with each other.

By tying this site closely to the already established and extremely successful CGPortfolio site, CGJobs is able to offer much more than most online job boards - features such as linking portfolios to applications or automatic notifications to job seekers as soon as a new ad is posted by an employer, set this site apart from its competitors.
